Show these kids you care eNuF!

The youngsters pictured above have neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic tumor disorder that affects more people than cystic fibrosis and muscular dystrophy combined! As is typical of NF, they are all affected differently. These kids have symptoms that range from mild learning disabilities to debilitating tumors of the brain and spinal cord, disfiguring external tumors, paralysis, hearing loss and optic gliomas. Their medical histories could fill volumes, yet they all try to pursue a “normal” existence in spite of frightening obstacles.

There is no cure and there is no treatment for NF except surgery to remove tumors which frequently grow back. NF is very unpredictable and no one knows how NF will affect these youngsters as they grow older. But, NF research offers hope.

Today, NF research is on the forefront of the biomedical revolution! Scientists now realize that NF research has broad implications for millions of individuals who are affected by cancer, brain tumors, and learning disabilities. While we are on the verge of important breakthroughs, much work remains to be done in the battle against NF. We need your help now more than ever. Please consider golfing with us and/or supporting one of the many sponsorship opportunities that are offered to you.

Funds raised in our golf outing help kids like those below attend a special camp. At this camp they find lifelong friendships, as well as the confidence and self esteem they need to handle a chronic disorder.

Help us make NF a disease of the past and help keep the great smiles on those kids’ faces. Funds also go towards research to give them hope, clinical support to give them care and other programs to give them strength.

Thank you!

Care eNuF, know eNuF and give eNuF!
